missingWrote a review on Dec 05extraordinary viewspolar bear riskhigh shuttle cost
The views from the dining area are extraordinary.
During our three nights, the risk of polar bears was quite alarming. We felt a little trapped since we didn't have a flare gun to defend ourselves, and the shuttle cost was quite high. This meant we had no choice but to stay at the hotel for most of our stay, missing out on exploring the beautiful area around us.

Jacob's personalized service truly elevated our experience, making us feel taken care of throughout our stay.
The high shuttle costs made it difficult to explore the surrounding areas beyond the hotel.

I honestly thought I woud be treated like royalty at this hotel, only to be stranded due to polar bears lurking around. The shuttle fee was quite a shock, you think they'd offer it for free with such a terrifying situation. A welcoming gift would’ve been nice too, but I guess that’s too much to ask.

The staff here were super helpful, especially when I asked about planning glacier and dog sledding tours. My nephew and I loved the cozy atmosphere and the incredible breakfast options that kept us fueled for our adventures.
For dads, it would be great if they offered more activities for kids.

We had a fantastic stay with great staff who helped us plan glacier and dog sledding tours. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and we loved hanging out in the dining area. Jacob's hospitality made our trip even better. You'll definitely want to wander outside for those stunning views.
While my experience was mostly positive, the risk of polar bears was concerning. We had to stay close to the hotel for safety, which kept us from exploring the area as much as we wanted.

I’ve seen better – but worse too
The incredible buffet breakfast kept us energized all day! Jacob's help with our rebooking made our stay even more pleasant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Standard amenities felt basic! The remote location limited exploration, but the views were stunning. just be cautious of polar bears roaming nearby.

Basic rooms, but clean with beautiful views. The staff were exceptional, especially Jacob's hospitality. There's a concern about polar bears, making it hard to explore. Great hiking opportunities nearby, but safety first.

my stay was made memorable by the hospitality of the staff, especially jacob, who genuinely cared for every guest and made my time in the area safe and enjoyable, not to mention the amazing breakfast that kept me fueled for exploring the church of kap dan and old cemetery, both within a couple of kilometers of the hotel.

Jacob's hospitality truly stood out, especially when he provided his phone for rebooking flights, which was a thoughtful gesture. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, featuring unlimited coffee and an amazing selection that fueled our day. However, the constant risk of polar bears made us hesitant to explore the area fully, limiting our adventures. Additionally, the snow and ice disrupted transportation options significantly, creating challenges for our travel plans. Lastly, although the shuttle was convenient, the associated costs added to our overall expenses.
